I needed to buy a drum for my son when he joined his elementary shool’s band. I purchased this drum because it was the least expensive one with a kit that had all the items needed by the school. We’ve had it now for 16 months. It’s been pretty decent. However, the 3 stars are due to the bag that comes with it. It’s definitely not a durable bag. It was all torn apart in less than a year and it’s hard to find a replacement bag. I see here that the description says the snare drum itself measures 14×5.5, I wonder if that changed recently since the one I got in Nov. 2007 measures 14×7 and there are just no carry-all bags out there that are big enough for it.

My son needed a snare drum for school…. this was recommended by his teacher. This drum is on the heavy side, but has nice details and came with everything he needed.

This drum was a surprise for me, it’s great with all its features but little heavy for me, I wish it’s carrying bag was rolling!

I bought this for my son as a Christmas present. He loved it. It comes in a really nice carrying case. The snare is tunable and comes with its own tuning key. This is a great starter drum.
