The kit cost me $2500 and I think the module alone is about $900. Definitely a few steps up from the TD-4 as far as price goes, but you get what you pay for. The only difference in the kit is the mesh toms and the new ride cymbal
@zantomun thanks it really helps. i really liked this kit as soon as i saw the double bass kit. i also looked at the td-4. the td-4 as well as a module(user-friendly). i do have to watch my price range though and i know the td-4 will be around $1300.
It’s probably the most user-friendly TD module so far
does anyone know if it has an easy module or something that will take alot of buttons to hit to get one thing?
is there a sound difference between the mesh and rubber pads?

this kit is prolly really expensive. it’s got the nice tom’s not just the pads… so probaly like 2grand

I”ve just bought the DT 9 K and not the KX. The Manager of the store was trying to sell me the KX but the way I look at it is basically you’re paying an extra £400+ for mesh fibre on 3 toms (THAT’s ALL!) The brain is the exact same on the DT9 K and so is the snare (well almost). Some of you may argue that the KX comes with the CY12 instead of the CY8. Well in my opinion they’re basically the same except that you need to be more precise with the CY8.
